1.Switch on the computer and wait for loading. 2.Select the Windows 7 OS at the end of the list. 3.Click on the link ‘Administrator’ 4.Enter the administrator password Password: 5. Now you will enter into the Windows 7 Desktop screen

To start wamp server Start->All programs->WampServer->Start WampServer64 or Shortcut icon of the Wampserver may be available in your Desktop. Just double click on the Wampserver icon Hopefully, the WAMP Server is already installed in your local computer. If it is installed then follow the next step If the WAMP Server is running well, you should have a wamp icon with green color in the bottom right corner of the desktop (i.e., Notification Icons). 1.Open your web browser (chrome or firefox) 2.Type the following ‘localhost’ or ‘ ’ in the URL address bar. 3.You will get the given below screen. Now your wampserver is running successfully. 4. Now you have to check that the PHP code is running correctly. Click on the ‘phpinfo()’ link in the previous screen. Then you will get the given below screen.

5. Now your Wamp Server and PHP are running perfect.

1.Open your web browser (chrome or firefox) 2.Type the following ‘ in the URL address bar. 3.Now, you will get the following screen Download Link

4. Click on the ‘Download’ link rounded in the above picture in red color. Then you will get the download web page in new browser tab. 5.Click on the link ‘OSS-Initiative’ 6.Then click on the link ‘docdelivery.zip’ 7.Now your ODDS software’s zip file is downloaded in your local computer and it will be available in your desktop or downloads folder.

3. Click ‘WinZip’ in the popup menu then you will get a sub popup menu. 1.Copy the ‘docdelivery.zip’ file from local ‘Downloads’ folder and paste into ‘C:\wamp\www\’ folder. 2.Click on the ‘docdelivery.zip’ file in the folder ‘C:\wamp\www\’, then right click you will get the following popup menu.

6.Now the ‘ODDS’ software’s download process is completed and it is ready to install in your web server. 4.Click on ‘Extract to here’ in the sub popup menu. 5.Now you will get the ‘docdelivery’ folder with all sub folders and files in ‘C:\wamp\www’ folder.

1.Open any browser and type the following in the URL address bar. ‘ or ‘ 2. Now you will get the following ‘phpmyadmin’ screen Hopefully, your ‘WAMPSERVER’ is running. Database Creation

3. Click on ‘Database’ link 4. Type the database name ‘docdelivery’ in create database input box and then click ‘Create’ button.

5.Now your database ‘cdlibrary’ is created. To verify the database creation, a new database name ‘cdlibrary’ is displaying left side panel of the ‘phpmyadmin’ screen.

1.Open to the folder ‘C:\wamp\www\docdelivery’, this is the base folder of the ODDS software 2.Open to the folder ‘includes’ 3.Select the file ‘sys.config.php’ and open with ‘Notepad++’ editor. Right click on the file, then select ‘Edit with Notepad++’. 4.The followings are to be matched in the ‘sys.config.php’ file define(‘DB_NAME’, ‘cdlibrary’) – line no.28 define(‘DB_HOST’, ‘localhost’) – line no.31 define(‘DB_USER’, ‘root’) – line no.34 define(‘DB_PASSWORD’, ‘’) – line no.37 5.Change the red colored values, then Save the file and close it. Change username/password credentials to connect the database

1.After successful completion of the database connection settings 2.Open a web browser and type the following in URL address bar 3.Now you will get the web page of ‘Basic System Options’ and ‘Default System Administrator Options’ Basic System Options Site name: Central Library, IIT Kharagpur Online Document Delivery Service URI Address: Default System Administrator Options Full Name: Address: Login Name: administrator Password: ws2016 Confirm Password: ws2016 Installation – One time entry

4.After complete the data entry form, then click the ‘Install’ button at bottom. 5.Wait for the installation confirm message. The confirm message should be ‘Congratulations! Everything is up and running’. 6.Online Document Delivery Service software is now installed in your server. 7.You may login with your username and password. Installation – One time entry

1.Enter the following URL in the address bar for administrator login Username: administrator (or as you created in the time of installation) 3. Password: ws2016 (or as you created in the time of installation) 4.Now, you will get the ‘Dashboard’ page of the ODDS software and initially this page will be listed nothing.

1.Go to the menu ‘Options’ and click on in the administrator login 2.Then click on the menu ‘System Options’ 3.Now, you will get the ‘System Options’ page. Here able to see three tab options  General Options  Notifications  Header/Footer

1.Click on the ‘ Notifications’ Name: Central Library, IIT Kharagpur Address: Copy to: leave it blank or enter any one of your personal -id. Mailer: SMTP Username: Password: osslm2016 Host: Port: 25 Authentication: None 2.Click on ‘Update all options’ button and then you will get the confirm message ‘Site options updated successfully’.

1.Go to the menu ‘Library’ and click on it in the administrator login 2.Then click on the menu ‘Add New Library’ 3.Now, you will get the ‘Add Library’ page. Enter given below data in the data entry form Library/Institute Name: Inflibnet -id to send request: -ids copy to: Contact Person Name: Librarian <Head name or Designation> Contact Phone No.: Contact Address:

Active: Put tick mark in the check box Remarks: any 5.After complete the data entry form, then click the ‘Add Library’ button at bottom. 6.Wait for the update confirm message. The confirm message should be ‘Library added successfully’. 7.Add one more new library with the steps 1 to 6. You can add any number of libraries as many as needed.

1.Open a new browser window, then type the given below link in URL address bar 2.Now, you will get the ‘Document Request Form’ page and fill- out the given below data. Document Details Document : Free/Open Source Software: New Oppurtunities, New Challenges, Chawner, B., 2004, English, Article, Conference paper edition. Source Title: English, Article, Conference paper edition

Personal Details Id: Roll No./Code: Name: Department: Dept. of Library and Info. Sc. Phone: Contact Address: Remarks: 8.After complete the data entry form, then click the ‘Submit’ button at bottom. 9.Wait for the update confirm message. The confirm message should be ‘Your request has been registered successfully’. 10.Note: Do two more different document requests through ‘Document Request Form’.

1.Go to the menu ‘Dashboard’ and click on it in the administrator login 2.Now, you will get the ‘Request Administration’ page. 3.Here you can see the articles/papers requested by user with his/her personal details. 4.Click on ‘Process’ button (at end of the row in the ‘Actions’ column) 5.Now, you will get the ‘Process on User’s Request’ page 6.Go to ‘Update Options’ Select document file to upload: Click on ‘Choose file’ button 7.Click on ‘Choose File’ button to select the respective pdf file from ‘C:\wamp\www\docdelivery/samples’ folder. 8.Then click on ‘Upload File’ file button in the ‘File Dialogue Window’.

9.Here, you can see the selected file’s name just beside the ‘Choose file’ button and the selected file will be moved into the folder ‘C:\wamp\www\docdelivery\documents\’. Open this folder to verify the file, after complete the update process. Processed: Select Approved (radio button) Select Options or Type in the Box: leave as it is. Request Status: leave blank (Delete if any text exist) Update with Send put tick mark in the check box Remarks: 10.Click on ‘Update Process’ button 11.Now, you will be moved to ‘Request Administration’ page 12.At end of the row, you will get a green color ‘Yes’ display on the ‘Processed’ column in the respective requested document and an is sent to the registered -id.

1.Open your registered inbox to verify, whether you have received the download link or not. 2.If you have received any from administrator with download link, then click on the ‘Download Link’ link. 3.Now, you will be moved to ‘Requested Document Download’ page with a new browser tab. 4.Click on the ‘Download File’ button, your document file will be downloaded in your local download folder or local computer. Then close your current ‘Requested Document Download’ browser tab. 5.Again go to ‘Dashboard’ and click on the ‘Dashboard’ menu 6.Enter the registered -id in the search box and then click on the ‘Search’ button, now your ‘Downloaded’ column will be updated with green color.

1.Go to the menu ‘Dashboard’ and click on it in the administrator login 2.Select any two document request, which are not processed, i.e., put a tick mark in that check box of the first column. 3.Then click ‘Send Document Request to Library’ button 4.Now, you will get the ‘Send Document Request to Libraries’ page. 5.The top panel is listing the selected document requests and second panel is listing the libraries, which you have added. 6.Select any two libraries to send the document request, i.e., put a tick mark in the check box in the library list. 7.Then click the ‘Send Request’ button and you will get the successful message with green color. 8.A request will be sent to the selected libraries.

1.Open your entered library -id inbox and check, whether you have received from administrator or not. 2.If any received from administrator, then open it, Click on ‘Upload Document’ link. 3.Now, you will be moved to ‘Requested Document Upload’ page. 4.Click on ‘Choose file’ and select any pdf document file and then click ‘Upload Document’ button. 5.After successful upload, you will get the successful message “Document file is uploaded successfully.’. 6.Close the current browser.

1.Go to the menu ‘Dashboard’ and click on it in the administrator login 2.See the statuses in the dashboard list. 3.Click on ‘Process’ button in the row of uploaded document by other library. 4.Now, you will get the ‘Process on User’s Request’ page 5.Go to ‘Update Options’ Select document file to upload: Click on ‘Choose file’ button 7.Click on ‘Choose File’ button to select the respective pdf file uploaded by other library from ‘C:\wamp\www\docdelivery /samples’ folder. 8.Then click on ‘Upload File’ file button in the ‘File Dialogue Window’.

1.Go to the menu ‘Dashboard’ and click on it in the administrator login 2.See the statuses in the dashboard list. 3.Click on ‘Status’ button, which is in the column ‘Req. Send’ 4.Now, you will get the ‘Libraries’ Responses’ page 5.See the statuses in the libraries’ response page. 6.Once again you can send document request send to libraries from here.

1.Go to the menu ‘Reports’ and click on it in the administrator login 2.Click on the menu ‘Detailed Report’ 3.Now, you will get the ‘Transaction Detailed Report’ page with default current month report. If you want to see the other range of dates, change the from date and to date Report Date: Select from date and to date Type: All 4.Click on ‘Go’ button. 5.Now, you will get the new report. 6.Change any other option and see the differences in the report.

1.Go to the menu ‘Reports’ and click on it in the administrator login 2.Click on the menu ‘Summary Report’ 3.Now, you will get the ‘Transaction Summary Report’ page with default current month report. Here, you will get total numbers of transaction details. 4.If you want to see the other range of dates, change the from date and to date Report Date: Select from date and to date Type: All 5.Click on ‘Go’ button. 6.Click on the number link and you will get particular transaction report.

1.Open a new browser window, then type the given below link in URL address bar 2.Now, you will get the ‘Document Request Form’ page. 3.Go to the menu ‘Registration Status’ and click on it. 4.Now, you will get ‘Registration Status’ page. 5.Enter your registered -id in the search box and click on the ‘Search’ button. 6.Now, you will get the all registered document with status of the transactions.
