Background and Goals Adjustment to changing circumstances –Growth patterns –Traffic patterns –Community needs Service efficiencies Service enhancements Timed to coincide with return of UVA students
Route 3/6 Separation Current –Routes 3 and 6 served by a single bus –Service every hour –Service every half-hour during peak Proposed –Separate routes to run every half hour, all day –Route 3 expansion to Palatine
Route 6 Ridge Street, UVA Hospital, Downtown Extended to Prospect Avenue and 9 th St. (are currently served by Route 4) Would serve Downtown at the Omni stop on Water Street –Transfer to the Trolley, 1A/B, 2A/B, 3, 7, 8, 9 and 10 UVA/JPA – transfer to 4 and outbound Trolley Earlier stops on West Main also provide access to inbound/outbound Route 7 & Trolley Service frequency increased to :30 all day
Route 4 UVA Hospital, Fry Spring Expansion of service to connect Fry Spring to Trolley and UVA routes Route 4 transfer hub will be at the UVA Hospital for the outbound Free Trolley and Route 6 Earlier stops on West Main also provide access to inbound/outbound Route 7 & Trolley No longer serve Prospect and 9 th Street (Route 6 will serve) Service frequency increased to :30 all day

Minor Changes Free Trolley Closure of McCormick Bridge (over Emmet) Detour north on Alderman to Ivy 4 new stops served
Minor Changes Route 2B Expand service area at Southwood Mobile Home Park Extended to include Covenant School, Moore’s Creek and Oak Hill.
Summary Major Changes –Route 3/6 separation –Route 6 –Route 4 Minor Changes (Trolley, 2/B) More frequent service, to more areas, at no additional cost
