How often do kids use the Internet? What do they do online? What do they know about e-safety? Here’s a quiz on some of the results obtained.

(Haddon and Livingstone, 2012:3) Additional information:  26% have public profiles. (Haddon and Livingstone, 2012:3)  Girls, and children from higher socioeconomic status homes, appear more likely to keep their social networking profile private. (Hasebrink et al., 2011:8)  Social networking is most popular in the Netherlands (80%), Lithuania (76%) and Denmark (75%), and least in Romania (46%), Turkey (49%) and Germany (51%) (Livingstone et al., 2011b:5). 10 Ethical and Privacy Issues
