PASAY-MAKATI PROFILE TVET Sector No. of TVET Providers – Pasay Lone District – 35 – Makati 1 st District – 75 – Makati 2 nd District – 14 No. registered programs – With WTR status – 374 (78%) – With NTR status – 105 (22%) TVET Capacity – 63,740 graduates recorded in 2013 (highest since 2008) – School-based - 47,835 (75%) – Community-based – 15,227 (24%) – Enterprise-based – 678 (1%) Composition of Registered Programs by Sector – BPO-related programs – 31% – HSODC related programs – 21% – Tourism-related programs – 21% – Languages – 7% – Construction/Electronics/HVAC – 7% – Security – 4% – Transportation – 3% – Maritime – 2% – Garments/Fashion – 2% – Avionics – 2% Employment Stats – 42,460 in 2013 or 67% of the monitored graduates – 26,401 in 2012 or 63% of the monitored graduates PasMak is the smallest district in NCR with the lowest population estimated at 1.043M. 44% of the Pasay HS graduates are enrolled in post-secondary education while 72% of the Makati HS graduates pursue post-secondary education. Makati is the financial center of the Philippines and one of the major financial, commercial and economic hubs in Asia. In terms of area, Pasay City is the third smallest political subdivision in the National Capital Region. It is called the Premier Gateway to the Philippines. It hosts a number of utilities - Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) complex, which include the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and the Villamor Air Base.Ninoy Aquino International Airport Critical Industries – Cyber Services, Tourism, Health and Wellness, Construction, Aviation and Transportation, Creative Industries Socio-Economic Profile Assessment and Certification – 39,099 total assessed in 2013 ( 17% lower from 2012 level due to transfer of assessment of SRC ratings /workers to MARINA) – Certification Rate – 91% (An improvement from 2012 recorded certification of 87%) – 20 accredited Assessment Centers in 25 different qualifications and NC levels – 96 accredited Assessors Scholarship Program – Total slots/graduates for ,141 – Total scholarship funds for 2013 – P59.7M (66% decreased from 2012 level of P178M total available funds)
