Design Concerns We Heard from the SIT/Community DCPS | OCOO 4 Cafeteria/Commons  Cafeteria cannot accommodate 3 lunch periods.  No storage or bathrooms near Cafeteria  Loss of PK/K Commons Space  Concerns with the distance from loading to cafeteria  Concerns with the flow of the building (kitchen off main entrance)

Concerns Still Under Evaluation DCPS | OCOO 24  Curb-Cut with loading off Reno. There are ongoing discussions with DDOT.  There are 3 food deliveries a week and DCPS will work with the vendor to ensure deliveries are not during pick-up or drop-off times.  Parking to meet zoning requirements and needs of the staff

Current Murch Building Schedule DCPS | OCOO 25 Building Permit & Regulatory Review Dates CFA/HPO: Submit by 4/7/16 for 4/21/16 meeting Public Space Committee: Submit by 3/18/16 for 4/14/16 meeting Demolition/Abatement for Existing Building: Submit by 6/15/16 with approved third party reviews intended to expedite DCRA approval timeline. Foundation to Grade for Building Addition: Submit by 7/30/16 with approved third party reviews intended to expedite DCRA approval timeline. Mobilization and Packing/Moving: June 2016 Begin Demolition and Abatement of Existing Building: July 2016 Begin Construction of Addition: Early Fall 2016 Complete Construction: August 2018

Next Steps DCPS | OCOO 28  Schedule site visit at UDC & Lafayette  SIT call with DCPS: TBD; will be before Community meeting  Next Community Meeting: March 24 th  Envelope 6PM  Community 7PM  Meet with CFA for staff level work sessions to ensure we gain approval of concept at April meeting  Work with sister agencies (DOEE, DCRA, DDOT) to shorten permit review timelines  Develop drawings to levels to submit for permit – includes structural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, architectural, etc.  Next SIT Meeting: April 11 th
