WHAT IS THE WSJ ASSESSMENT TOOL? The WSJ Assessment Tool is a powerful resource that will help you quickly and easily assess your student's comprehension of course concepts and awareness of current events. Web based program Complimentary to all faculty and students who participate in the WSJ College program Supported by discounted educational subscription rates In order to utilize the WSJ Assessment Tool, every educator will need create an instructor account. 1)Go to 2)Click on the Professor Login link at the top of the page. 3)Click on the Not Yet Registered link below the login fields.

Disciplines available in the Weekly Review and/or the Assessment Tool include: Accounting Business Law Business Ethics Entrepreneurship Finance Human Resources Organizational Behavior Information Technology International Business Introduction to Business Leadership Macroeconomics Microeconomics Marketing Operations Management Political Science Strategic Management To begin using the WSJ Assessment Tool, you’ll need to first set up your courses and sections in your account. You’ll first set up the courses you teach; you’ll then set up your sections for each of the courses.

You can now invite your students to set up their accounts via one of two methods: 1)send an invitation to your students 2) and/or share a unique URL with them.

After you have set up your Courses and Sections, you can begin assigning Tests to your students. Add the test to your My Tests file, then you can Edit the Test or Assign it to your class. For each discipline you subscribe to, a weekly test with 10 questions and links to the corresponding article will be automatically loaded into your instructor account.

As your students complete the Test, you can view their results. You can also download the results to a.csv file for upload into your Learning Management System or other grading software. 1)Select My Reports from the menu on the left side. 2)Select the School, Discipline, Semester, Course, Class and Test from the dropdown menu. This will display each student’s result for the selected Test. You can also select a specific student from the Select Student dropdown menu.

STUDENT VIEW: Once signed in all assigned tests will be available for students to begin by clicking on Take Test Now. Students will be taken to the welcome page of the test which lists all the articles (with links) they should read before beginning the test, along with any custom message the instructor may have included. Students will then begin the test, either timed or untimed.
