Some facts about London. London is the biggest city in Britain. More than 7 million people live and work there. It is a centre for business and tourism. In London you can find many theatres, cinemas, museums. There are about 10 thousand streets in London. In London you can find many shops. Oxford Street is the shopping centre of London.

The Tower of London.  The Tower of London is very old. William the Conqueror built this tower in the eleventh century. It was a fortress, a palace, a prison and the King’s Zoo. Black ravens- symbols of London live here.

St Paul’s Cathedral. St Paul’s Cathedral is one of the beautiful churches in London. It was built by famous English architect Sir Christopher Wren in the seventeenth century. Trafalgar Square. Trafalgar Square is in the centre of London. There is a monument to Admiral Nelson in the middle of the square. Four bronze lions look at the square from the monument. There are two fountains in the square. It is a very popular place.
