SI Presents: The Art of Winter 2012 Sponsorship Opportunities
Event Overview Capitalizing off the success from its inaugural year in 2011, The Art of Winter will once again celebrate a variety of snowsports art and culture right in the center of downtown Denver. Currently slated for January 9 th – February 3 rd 2012, the event will continue to include the classic art installations of skis and snowboards featuring innovative graphics from companies around the country. In addition, a showcase of original works featuring recycled skis and snowboards designed by various Colorado artists will adorn the sidewalks of Larimer street. With “canvases” donated by Snowsports Industries America (SIA), the outdoor convergence of art, industry, innovation and snowsports is also a nod to the 3 rd year anniversary of the SIA Snow Show’s arrival in Colorado. Proceeds from the auction will, once again, benefit the Larimer Arts District and aid in funding the second annual Something Independent Entrepreneur Award, given to a Colorado-based, startup with a connection to the snowsports industry. The award includes a cash donation of $1,500 and the winner will be announced on October 4. (Time/Location TBD)
