Specification criteria Paste original spec statements here How did you meet this specification through your design JustificationHow will you test this (must be measurable) Results of testing Purpose Function Performance requirement Quality My lamp is incredibly neat and well made. For example all the wood joints (comb/lap) are very precise and PVA glue has been used as adhesive. I have used materials such as pine which is a solid timber. I have used softwood because it is easy to work with and provides a solid structure against the grain. PVA glue gives an incredibly strong join with wood when used in collaboration with precise wood joints. I will test the strength and durability of the lamp by placing it under increasing stress loads in the wood vice and observe if the lamp can withstand the force. The lamp withstood a force much larger than any it would encounter in its useful life, therefore the quality can be deemed very good. Photograph of Test Explaining the test being carried outOutcome of testing/result What are you testing for? Quality, materials, depth of lighting, does it move? How have you tested it? Did it work, how do you know? Did your test work? How do you know? What can you conclude about your lamp due to this test? What went well Spec points Time Choice of materials and manufacturing Quality of product and finish Third party feedback Problems I encountered and solutions Designs Developments Materials Modelling Making/assembly Sustainability and Life cycle analysis How well does it meet the 6Rs? How successful is Product Life-cycle? Place photos of product in use by target market Write their feedback Survey results and conclusion Overall, my target market thought that the aesthetics of the product was so good that they would use and buy the product themselves, therefore, if I got the chance to sell this product it would be successful. However, there are a few things my target audience would like me to change about my product to make it even more successful. These are changing the colour, to a darker colour (navy blue) or a nude colour )beige or crystal white). Also, they would like it if the shapes on the head could spin and it the body was wider. Do you like the colour of the product for a work place setting? Would you personally use it in your own work place setting? Create a questionnaire to ask your client about your completed lamp!! At least 4 questions. Use the questions to evaluate the success of your product in your clients eyes. What is your opinion on the products success?
