Format The exam is divided into 6 sections Be sure to follow the instructions! Write ALL answers in the Answer booklet provided, not on the Question booklet. You are NOT allowed to ask any questions for the first 30 minutes of the exam.

Section A 50 Multiple Choice ½ point each Covers material from Lord of the Flies and Hamlet/Shakespeare

Section B 20 True or False Questions ½ point each Covers material from Media Unit

Section C Quotes 5 points each There will be 10 given, explain 4 in detail Identify Text Speaker Spoken to Meaning Quotes from Lord of the Flies and Hamlet

Section D Reading Comprehension – Short Story (10 pts) Multiple Choice Short Answers

Section E Media Analysis – Advertisement (15pts) Multiple Choice Short Answers

Section F Essay 20 Points Choose 1 out of 6 possible choices Topics will cover major units: Lord of the Flies Topics vary such as loss of identity/innocence, themes relating to chaos, violence, anarchy, and destruction, etc. Hamlet Topics vary such as the portrayal of madness/suicide, tragic flaw and an inability to act.

Good Luck Studying! Dictionaries and foolscap paper will be available for your use. Bring pencils, a eraser, and a pencil sharpener carried in a CLEAR zip lock baggie. Remember to wear your FULL AGS UNIFORM, or you will not be allowed to write the exam. NO AGS sweaters will be allowed in the classrooms, so wear a long-sleeved undershirt if necessary. Any phones or electronic devices should remain home or in your backpack outside of the classroom. If found on your person, it will be considered a cheating tool. Cheating is unacceptable. Students attempting to do so will obtain a zero on the exam. Studying is a great way to avoid this temptation It will be Ramadan, therefore remember not to have water, food, or gum. See you on Wednesday, June 15 11:30 am in the Gymnasium.
