Does color matter? Why? Does the placement of color matter?

Why are these colors associated with food?

Why these colors to portray sports? Do the colors work with other things?

In Representation?

Do these colors make you feel political?

In Entertainment?

Did you ever notice? Does this make you remember them more? What if they were a different color?

In Decorating?

Do you feel clean after seeing these colors? Would you feel comfortable taking a shower in this bathroom?

Color Element of art Produced by light of various wavelengths, and when light strikes an object and reflects back to the eyes. 3 properties of color are: -hue -intensity -value

Hue AKA pure color No added white or black

Intensity brightness or dullness of a color Mixing a color’s complement adds intensity

Value Element of art the lightness or darkness of a color Color + white or black adds value Anything of high importance

Color Scheme A well thought out arrangement of colors that go together in harmony
