CRITERIA FOR FUNDING Project ownership & control Address long term correction of conditions of poverty/oppression Goals, objectives and direct beneficiaries involvement Environmentally friendly Non-violent Available resources description Balanced income/expenditure budget Progress evaluation towards goals/objectives
EXAMPLES OF TYPES OF PROJECTS FUNDED Capacity Building (Projects that build people’s personal capacity to become self-sufficient) Cooperative Economic Opportunities (Cooperative economic projects benefiting group members economically) Community Advocacy/Organizing (Projects that advocate against a system that ignores needs of poor communities) Affordable Housing / Neighborhood Revitalization Water and Farming Projects (for community led efforts) Economic Development Programs
