UNIT OVERVIEW Changing Attitudes Through Knowledge

In this unit we will deal with issues like: TRUTH INTEGRITY COURAGE

Where do our attitudes come from? Parents Friends Religion Education Experiences

Attitudes When attitudes are based on ignorance or lack of knowledge, they are sometimes called prejudice.

What is prejudice? Prejudging without actually knowing. Why do we prejudge?

What are some examples of prejudice you have seen?

What are some ideas or attitudes you have held? Did you ever change those attitudes?

Personal Essay Changing Attitudes through Knowledge Write about a time, when you changed a negative attitude toward a person or idea after you learned more about that person or idea. » OR Tell how a person you admire changed a negative attitude toward a person or idea after s/he learned more about that person or idea.
