PORT OF TACOMA The Combined Habitat Project is designed to fulfill regulatory obligations driven by Port business needs. The completed project will provide over 23 acres of new, restored or enhanced upland and tidally-influenced habitat with associated buffers. Objective Parcel 88 Combined Habitat Project

PORT OF TACOMA Restore and enhance on-site wetlands, riparian habitat areas and forested upland areas. Provide inter-tidal marsh habitat area, fill ravine and grade adjacent areas. Landscape all affected areas and provide an irrigation system to support plant growth. Scope of Work Parcel 88 Combined Habitat Project

PORT OF TACOMA Background Parcel 88 Combined Habitat Project Parcel 88 Combined Habitat Project will provide approximately 23 acres of tidally-influenced habitat plus associated buffers. Construction began in June 2010.

PORT OF TACOMA Background Parcel 88 Combined Habitat Project To date, approximately 125,000 tons of contaminated and unsuitable material has been remove from the site. As areas of the planned removal work were completed, site sampling determined that additional contaminated materials need to be removed and disposed.
