Clean water

Water and its importance in life Water is one of the most need for human life that human been cannot continue living without water because its important element for human and animal and plant life. Water nowadays has a number of hazards such as pollution and reduction and salinization, which makes it very important for us to focus and reduce consumption and work to develop and maintain sources and resources. The lack of water in presence would means the elimination of all forms of life on Earth such as people, plants, trees and animals and other creation. Water unlike food, that human been body can refrain from eating for weeks, but he cannot pass many days if we don't drink water, Human body needs per day from 8-10 cups of water and other liquids while they offer the body that he need half the amount of water, and the other half comes through the food while eating. The water accounts for 83% of the blood in our bodies and helps in the digestion process and facilitates the movement of the joints and helps in the transfer of waste digestion, and helps to maintain body temperature.

Facts. *Water crisis is one of the largest public health issues nowadays. *Nearly 1.1 billion people (roughly 20% of the world’s population)have lack access to safe drinking water. *The lack of clean, safe drinking water is estimated to kill almost 4,500 children per day. *Out of the 2.2 million unsafe drinking water deaths in in the year of 2004, 90% were children under the age of five. source: B9D8092D300B7548http://worldwaterday.net/index.cfm?objectid=E38C787B-F1F B9D8092D300B7548

How much fresh water do we have?

The 3.0% of fresh water usage. The amount of fresh water that the earth hold is less than 3% while the rest of it is seawater and undrinkable. Of this 3% over 2.5% is frozen, locked up in Antarctica, the Arctic and glaciers, and not available to man. Thus humanity must rely on this 0.5% for all of man’s and ecosystem’s fresh water need 10,000,000 km3 stored in underground aquifers. Since 1950 there has been a rapid expansion of groundwater exploitation providing: 50 % of all drinking water 40%of all industrial water 20%of irrigation water 119,000 km3 net of rainfall falling on land after accounting for evaporation. What is more, is that 91,000 km3 in natural lakes Over 5,000 km3 in storage facilities reservoirs that made by man. 2,120 km3 in rivers – constantly replaced from 848,000,000 rainfall and melting snow and ice.

Water shortage leads to a huge disaster in China The demand for water today is more than it was at any time before, and is expected to continue to increase. The reasons for this is attributed to the growth of the population and rising living standards and changes in food consumption, and climate change and pressures arising from the growing need for energy, particularly fuel. In recent years China has seen its supplies fall to dangerously low levels as it faces drought.More than 100 cities have been found in the last few year that they have a lack of water. This lack of water cause China a lose over 100 billion Yuan. While there is growing demand for water, there are many countries in Africa already reaching the maximum extent of their water resources. It is expected that the effects of climate change to worsen the situation. This situation is begun to appear on the horizon phenomena of war for water, whether between countries or between rural and urban areas or between different sectors of employment.

Yangtze River water level drops as drought continues in China. Water shortage is concentrated in northern china where the water level is falling by almost one meter a year and this is resulted by the 40% drop in rainfall. The cost of Water in China have increased only slowly in the past two decades which 40% below the cost of water and are still among the world's lowest. John McAlister, head of a water-recycling firm, says China is committing “ecological suicide” with its current policies and should put prices up to Yuan a cubic meter around the world.

Solutions for providing a clean water for vast number of nation The situation in north china became a big issue for the government of china. For the past eight years two huge diversion projects have been studied and looked for its vital importance to bring water from the Yangzi River basin to northern China. Work on a more technologically challenging third route, involving blasting through mountains to link the Yangzi's upper reaches to the Yellow River, is expected to begin around This project will extend hundreds of kilometers which cost of tens of billions of dollars.
