Composite Figures

What is a composite figure? A composite figure is made up of two or more common shapes

Finding the Area of Composite Figures 1)Split the figure into shapes found on your formula sheet -Triangles, squares, rectangles, circles, parallelograms and trapezoids 2)Find the area of each of those separated shapes 3)Add the separate areas to find the overall area of the figure -Remember to include given units Find the area of the figure below
