PROJECT SUMMARY * We plan on hosting a spaghetti dinner and cake auction on Saturday April 23, from 5pm-8pm. This fundraiser will benefit the Owensboro Humane Society and Wendell Foster’s Campus for Developmental Disabilities. Our goal is to raise awareness of the importance of relationships between humans and animals. The funding required for this project is $699.14

WENDELL FOSTER’S CAMPUS FOR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES ** Wendell Foster’s Campus assists people with mental and physical disabilities. There are several different programs to help everyone in our community with any type of disability. Wendell Foster’s mission is to improve the quality of life for all people with disabilities. They help men, women, and children

OWENSBORO HUMANE SOCIETY **** The Owensboro Humane Society shelters animals that have been victims of neglect and helps to rehome them and improve their quality of life The Humane Society is a no-kill shelter. They run solely on donations and volunteers.

THE COMMUNITY NEED ** Both facilities work to improve the quality of life. Our community is in need of more human/animal relationships because of its benefits on health for not only humans but animals as well.

OBJECTIVES *** To benefit the Owensboro Humane Society and the Wendell Fosters Campus by raising $1,500 dollars for each. To raise awareness on how animals can help human health aspects and how they benefit kids and adults. To raise awareness of how animals effect people of all ages with disabilities of all sorts.

HOW OUR PROJECT WILL HELP **** Our project will raise money for both the Wendell Foster’s Campus and the Owensboro Humane Society. The money they receive will help animals and humans have a better quality of life in these facilities. Educate the community on how the benefits of human/animal relationships effect health positively.

LSA MEMBERS **** We will use our fellow LSA members to: Set up: decorate venue, cook, and set tables Host: hand out numbers, serve food, auction spotters Clean up: throw away trash, take down decorations, clean dishes, put up chairs and tables, take out trash, sweep and mop

OBSTACLES * One obstacle we had to deal with was our participation level. We are selling our tickets in advance so if there is a lack of guests to the auction we will still be close to our goal. We are asking for people to donate desserts, so if we don’t have very many donations we are going to open the donations to churches and also allow a portion of our budget for this purpose.
