Eight Man Front Defense with Robber Coverage Defensive Package Eight Man Front Defense with Robber Coverage

What is “G” Defense? It is an eight man front. The defensive line will play a one gap technique The second level will be responsible for two gaps. We will use robber coverage as our base coverage. We are a pressure team by alignment, movement and blitz.

Philosophy of Pressure Defense Why Pressure Defense? It is simple in structure and easy adjust. “G” defense is great verses the run and allows pressure on the QB. It will limits the offensive attack options. Players love the pressure style of defense and it develops an aggressive team attitude. Basic Concepts of Pressure Defense. Match personnel groups. Stop the run at the point of attack with superior numbers. Defeat the pass with pressure and changing coverage. Goals of Pressure Defense. Define our style - “Pressure Defense”. Be strong on defense. Create confusion through movement. Play multiple coverage. Intimidate our opponents and win on defense.
