Around the Teams All team management please send your teams weekly write up so we can add it to our newsletter to by COB on Under 14 & under 16 White teams Hello all, I am asking for volunteers to help the drinks van on Saturday at Lark Hill between 11am and 8pm as a fundraiser for our Under 14 and Under 16 teams. This is being coordinated by myself and Andrew Spencer - Under 14's Manager White, if you can spare an hour or so on Saturday, please let me know. My intention is to run other fund raising activities for the team during the season with Cadbury Chocolate boxes already ordered for the team to sell and looking into doing a bbq at Bunning's in the future - if we can - most likely to do this when we have a bye weekend -Please let me know if you are available Saturday and, if so, what time(s) would suit. Thanks and regards, Leonie Spencer - under 16's white Manager work - home

Around the Teams All team management please send your teams weekly write up so we can add it to our newsletter to by COB on under 6s blue wrap up The under 6s blues defeated the Joondalup giants Once again this week our defence was brilliant. All of you made some really great tackles and helping each other out. Tries going to Alex, Gaberiel, Maihi, Vann and Cohen. on top of getting 7 tries we also make 3 conversions. In such a short time together you play so well together. this season is going to be a cracker if you continue the way we are going. Our man of the match award went to Maihi for playing a great game. Here is the write up for the under 8s this week. Today the under 8’s played their first derby against the Mandurah Storm. Both teams went out strong with the sharks scoring a breakaway try by Brayden Worley who only just came on the field after playing for the under 9’s. Good tries were also scored by Waaka Hepi and Beau Galvin. The boys worked well as a team and put in a huge amount of effort. Some great tries were scored in the second half with Damian Fulton and Nathan Quinlan beating countless defenders to extend the lead for the Sharks. Goal scorers for the day were Brayden Worley and Damian Fulton. Rockingham took home the victory today winning Thanks Anna Quinlan

Around the Teams All team management please send your teams weekly write up so we can add it to our newsletter to by COB on Under 7s Blue Match Report This game has showed our team the importance of numbers in the tackle. This was the difference between us and the Giants. Joondalup continuously had 3 players in the tackle while we failed to match them in this area. We were slow to get started today and Joondalup got away to a quick lead. The momentum swung back in our favour in the second half when both Alex Jackson and Cohan Browne, backing up from their earlier game in the 6s, came onto the field. Their defense and speed lifted our team and showed that both boys are more than capable of playing up an age when required. The highlight of the game was Manaia Turners blinding speed to score an exciting try from a halfway tap. Today was not our best effort, and has highlighted some areas we can improve upon. With this in mind we still managed to stay within 8 points of Joondalup. A special thanks must also go to Lykke for the number of hours you put into the canteen on behalf of our team today.

Are you able to help!!!!!!!!!!!!! At present the Sharks teams are in need of team management staff and at least one, preferably two, Sports trainers to cover First Aid. OUR KIDS NEED YOUR HELP. If no trainers are appointed kids cannot take the field and play. This is a WARL/NRL directive, not a shark’s ruling. Do we have any nurses or interested parents that would be willing to complete the SMA or WARL trainer’s courses? The next SMA trainer’s course is; Sat 15th & Sun 16th June The club will pay for the course. We understand this course is a while away but meantime on the job training will be provided by the Sharks current sports trainers (Craig and Adrienne) You will not be thrown in the deep end!!!!!!!!! Support required NOW

A huge thank you to the Jackson family from under 6 & 9 blue teams. They are the family who sold the most Krispy Kreme's - 45 dozen. They were rewarded with a family movie pass. Special mention to colleen Lawrence and Leonie spencer. who were the next highest.
