Christmas Day

Something about Christmas Day Christmas Day-December 25-which celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, the founder of the Christian religion, is the biggest and best-loved holiday in the United States. During Christmas season, friends get together and go from house to house singing Christmas songs.On Christmas Eve,children will put stocking at the end of their bed before they go to sleep. They think Father Christmas will come during the night. Christmas Day always begins before breakfast. Children wake up early, and can ’ t wait to open the presents.The family members say “ Merry Christmas ” to each other, then they have a delicious breakfast.After it,they enjoy the day playing with the toys or visiting their relatives and friends.

Father Christmas is a kind- hearted man. He is based on a real man named Saint Nicholas. He was a kind but shy person. He wanted to give money to the poor,but he didn’t want them to know that the money came from him. So he climbed to the top of a house and dropped some money down a chimney. They money went into a stocking that a little had hung by the fireplace to dry. Even though Father Christmas is no longer living, his sprite of generosity lives on today.
