One is that The Lantern Festival is the first full- moon night, and it also symbols the day of the Spring returning. So people celebrate this day and hope to continue the good lucks from The Chinese New Year. Another says is that long times ago, people killed the messenger of God --a bird-- in careless. The angry God decided to destroy human, but his daughter opposed it. She taught people to hang up lights on every building at January 15 th, so that they could cheat God.
