The Circus Comes to the Vineyard School In September 2011 the circus came to The Vineyard School. During the following week we had a circus themed cross curricular week at school.

The Big Top Goes Up The circus people arrived at am. It only took them one hour to put up the big top.

The Big Top Goes Up Year 1 watched the big top go up from the outdoor classroom.

Lunchtime We had a circus themed lunch. Madge baked a delicious clown cake.

Before the Circus At 5.00 pm the children, parents and teaching staff started to arrive.

Before the Circus We had pop corn, candy floss and hot dogs.

The Circus is About to Begin Excited children, tickets in hand, are queuing up outside the big top.

The Circus is About to Begin The excitement mounts…. Year 6 children are looking forward to the show.

The Show Starts

Year 3 loved the acrobats…

and the tightrope.

Year 4 loved the clowns.

So did Year 2…

….and Year 5.

The Trapeze The trapeze artists were amazing.

There was so much to see.

Everyone joined in the singing… even the adults.

We all got very excited by the clowns….. HE’S BEHIND YOU!
