Why is Communication Important? Communication is important because it is how we understand each other. One of the challenges in the workplace is learning the specific communication styles of others and how and when to share your ideas or concerns. Though some supervisors may specifically ask for your opinion. Employers consistently rank good communication skills at the top of the list for potential employees
3 Examples of Communication in the Workplace… Tom needs his printer fixed. Emma knows how to fix it. Tom asks her politely to help. The printer gets fixed. It’s a big part of your success in the workplace Employers would rather take a less qualified employee who is enthusiastic verses a qualified on with little enthusiasm Examples: Laura is interviewing for a job at Caltech.
