Planning The Bake Sale Treats to Make: Brownies Chocolate Chip Cookies Rice Krispy Treats Cupcakes or Cake Pops Lemonade Each treat was sold for $1 Marketing -There is a neighborhood where we advertised the bake sale a couple days before -We also posted things on Instagram -We held it near an elementary school right as school got out - We also made posters and some of us stood near the school to persuade others to come to it
Outcome of the Bake Sale & Tips We held a total of 3 bake sales. We made a total of around $400! Tips For Running a Bake Sale: -Tell them it’s supporting a charity -Have a coordinated way of handling the money -Make sure to have enough napkins or plates for the amount treats you make -Be sure to smile and be nice to everyone
Supplies For Fleece Knot Blankets 3 yards of fleece makes a decent size throw blanket (1 ½ yard each two colors) 5 yards will make a twin sized blanket (2 ½ yards each two colors) Choose bright, playful, uplifting, colored fabrics and prints Scissors (make sure they are very sharp) A 4x6 Notecard
How to Make Fleece Knot Blankets 1.Spread out the two sheets of fleece; one on top of the other. Trim to match material. 2.Put a notecard in all corners and cut 3.Cut the sides of the blanket up to the cut of the corners 4.Tie the bottom layer to the top layer by using a simple knot 5.Complete this step on all sides
Deliver Blankets Once the blankets are made, package them up festively (it was near Christmas when we did ours). Go to your local hospital which you want to support, be sure to contact them first, and deliver the blankets. We ended up making 24 blankets total!
