The Summoner Lines The Summoner was a cheating man who children feared. He had a flame colored face, for he possessed carbuncles, which give him large pimples, patches of red skin, which is what had caused the children to run when they saw him. The summoner was also a drunk, with black scabby brows, a thin beard, had hair yellow as wax that hung down his shoulders, bulging eyeballs, wore a hat, soft voice, & narrow eyes. No medieval skin medicines could make his blemishes disappear. He liked to drink his strong, red wine, loved to teach birds how to speak, garlic he loved, and onions too.
