Outline Introduction to Indico Introduction to Twiki SRMV2 usage Associating the T2 center to Analysis Groups

Introduction to Indico A web-based meeting management system, created by CDS software consortium ( CERN Document Server Software Consortium ) The Usage of user The Usage of administrator Complete User guide: Common Process: Register into indico Log in indico and go to “ 所外区 ”->”CMS”

Introduction to Indico --admin create a “meeting” or “lecture” “Meeting”: Modify items of “meeting” “minutes” to briefly introduce this meting “submit files” eg. ppt, doc Clone “meeting” to save time Modify “items” Main-- meeting name, time….. Files-- submit file Timetable-- create “session”( 分会 ) and “contribution”( 报告 ) Access Control-- decide who can access the information

Introduction to Indico --User Go the meeting directory directly Find your reports: Modify items of “meeting” “minutes” to briefly introduce this meting “submit files” eg. ppt, doc

Introduction to Twiki A web-based document and information management system Processes: –Register in Twiki –Go to “CMS” –Edit “ 编辑 ” 或 ” 所见即所得编辑 ” –Create a link Create new web pages by “ 创建新主题 ” Put this link into the string in ” 所见即所得编辑 ”

Introduction to Twiki --directory tree News Physics –Weekly meeting –User doc User support –Computing&operation and user support meeting –T2 guide –T3 guide –SE guide Computing –Data operation, Facility operation, job operation

SRMV2 Edg-gridftp-*, globus-url-copy not encouraged –Low level commands –Gridftp servers closed to outside already –Only need to know srm.ihep.ac.cn server Srm(Storage Resource Manager): – a protocol for Grid access to mass storage systems (tape or disk or disk arrays). srmv1 vs. srmv2 –Give the missing operations, which is not realized in srmv1 –Space Reservation, which is new concept in srmv2

Srmv2 space reservation(1) Why space reservation? –Provide a way to do space management in SE How it works? –Linkgroups: a space object defined in poolmanager(replica, custodial….) manages a certain amount of available pools Belongs to different vo/role group defined in space manager –Space reservation: users request certain type of space –Space manager: do the matching using user vo/role and the storage type requested by users to certain linkgroups linkgroups links pools User request Space reservation Space manager:matching

Srmv2 space reservation(2) How to use? –Do the space reservation (srm-reserve-space) before srmcp Storage Type:File lifetime Retention Policy: likelihood of loss (replica, custodial, output) Access Latency: time to bytes delivered (nearline, online) $ srm-reserve-space -desired_size srm_protocol_version=2 - retention_policy=REPLICA -access_latency=ONLINE -guaranteed_size lifetime srm://srm.ihep.ac.cn:8443/pnfs/ihep.ac.cn/data/cms/ –Got a space token $Space token = –Use this token to do the transferring $srmcp -space_token= file:////home/zhangxm/test/srmv2test/test1 srm://srm.ihep.ac.cn:8443/pnfs/ihep.ac.cn/data/cms/zhangxm/test2

Srmv2 space reservation(3) CMS requirement: No space token required Simplify the space reservation using the default space token Only srmcp needed in the transferring

Srm commands(1) srmmkdir srm://srm.ihep.ac.cn:8443/pnfs/ihep.ac.cn/data/cms/zhangxm/test3 srmls srm://srm.ihep.ac.cn:8443/pnfs/ihep.ac.cn/data/cms/zhangxm/test3 srmrm srm://srm.ihep.ac.cn:8443/pnfs/ihep.ac.cn/data/cms/largefile2 srmcp file:////home/zhangxm/test/srmv2test/test1 srm://srm.ihep.ac.cn:8443/pnfs/ihep.ac.cn/data/cms/zhangxm/test3 /test2 srmrmdir –recursive = true srm://srm.ihep.ac.cn:8443/pnfs/ihep.ac.cn/data/cms/zhangxm/test3 Commands related with space token

Srm commands(2) srm-advisory-delete –mark the file as available for deletion such that it will be removed if the system needs space –srm-advisory-delete srm://srm.ihep.ac.cn:8443/pnfs/ihep.ac.cn/data/ cms/zhangxm/test3/test1 Srmping –check the state of the SRM –srmping srm://srm.ihep.ac.cn:8443

My delete command Delete the non-empty directory recursively – needed? –SErmdir needed to change with srmv2 later

Associating T2 to Analysis groups
