1. Content to be separate from God 2. Trying to work your own way back to God… making and keeping rules in order to be right with God. 3. Seeming to trust Jesus to make you right with God, but having little interest in changing to be more like Him. 4. In view of God’s mercy, offering yourself as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. Not conforming any more to the pattern of this world but being transformed by the renewing of our mind so that you know, do and find great joy in your obedience to God. 19 My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. 21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. 22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.
