Vicenza-15/ Junior Robocup 2010 a New Challenge The project The team How to organize a study group Our purpose Images of working groups Main Page

The project The project is a sort of challenge that the undersigned prof.Duchi wanted to offer its students in order to desire to be involved in the Italian robotics league in soccer and rescue category. Our group also wanted to include this activity within the European project called”Bite the Byte” concerned to compare what each country is to increase interest in the study and the way to obtain remarkable result

The Team The group is composed of ten students from two different departments Scientific Technological Gymnasium Electronic Engeneering Department The Team

Electronics Department The electronics department is responsible for assembling and designing electronic circuits designed to control motors and sensors of robots. Our robocup’s Engineers also designed and tested programs for robots using the C programming language

Mechanical Department 1.In Robocup Mechanical engineering technicians are employed in the construction and assembly of robots and solving problems using electric motors and gear transmissions and everything is related to mechanical problems. 2.Study case-problem solving (another cooperative learning example)Study case-problem solving In the mechanical department are also being developed thematically related industrial automation through the study of hydraulics and pneumatics. In the related videos you can see an example.videos The technical diagrams in the link you can see how we use your interactive whiteboard to use the software fluidic-sim (a program that simulates pneumatic circuit)

How to organize a study group (cooperative learning) The project is based through a cooperative work and learning in progress among students The structure chosen by the students is very similar to a corporate organization created by a project leader and the heads of depatrments that are involved in software and hardware. Next page shows the organization chart of the companychart

Our purpose The team's goal is to increase the level of knowledge in the field of robotics and to obtain a good result in the Italian championship. The project also proposes to make it clear to students that together are essential for successful participation in the challenge of Vicenza and the sectors are interconnected.

Study-Case STEPS Presentation of the problem to the class Organization of the teams Work group and different tasks for the components of the team Realization of the project – problem solving Final result Mechanical Department

Presentation of the problem to the class Realization of the device able to press cans by electro-pneumatic command

Organization of the teams The class was split into four teams each team is composed of five students

Work group and different tasks for the components of the team Realization of the device able to press cans by electro-pneumatic command The problem involves three subjects, Design Planning Organization (DPO), Engineering Systems and Technology

Realization of the project – problem solving Groups discuss about the various activities and develop the ideas. As a result three solutions because two were the same, with the available school equipment they developed two ones

Design Planning Organization Execution of the project by Cad 123 e 4

Technology working cycle processing execution of parts on the machine tools project 1 project 2

Engineering Systems development of the electro-pneumatic loop simulator Fluid Sim of Festo company
