CLINTON DOMINATES DEMOCRATIC DEBATE BY SOFIA MOTTURA AND CIARA FAY

COVER DISCUSSION THIS COVER SHOWS HILLARY CLINTON AND BERNIE SANDERS FEEDING INTO THEIR OWN PARTY OR TELLING THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR. THE DONKEY IS THE DEMOCRATIC SYMBOL, AND IN THE COVER, IT REPRESENTS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY. THE CARROTS IN THE COVER ARE SUPPOSED TO SYMBOLIZE THE INFORMATION THAT THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES ARE GIVING TO THE DEMOCRATS, BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR.

HILLARY CLINTON FOR PRESIDENT 2016

SUMMARY The democratic debate took place on October 13 th 2015, and that was when Hillary Clinton became the most obvious candidate for the Democratic Election.Hillary Clinton The Democratic debate was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the four other candidates, including Bernie Sanders, also attended the event.Democratic debate Hillary Clinton’s performance at the Democratic Debate made it clear that she is so far the favorite candidate for the Democratic nomination. Clinton may have had some problems or mistakes, but she proved to be the lead candidate against Bernie Sanders and the other Democratic candidates even after criticism towards her about the scandal. The was strong throughout most of the debate, and only had problems with foreign policy. She dominated the debate and answered all of the questions given to her thoroughly and strategically. This event is newsworthy because it affects the future of our country, and many Americans could begin to decide who they are going to vote for based on this debate. This article can alter the decisions of some voters and therefore change the lives of millions of Americans depending on who wins the election.

PROS According to the article, Hillary Clinton basically dominated the whole debate. She made no big errors, and was smooth and polished throughout. She attacked her rival Bernie Sanders for voting five times against the Brady bill, while he helped her clear the problems over her scandal. The only stumble was on foreign policy, where she made it clear how problematic her record on this topic is. Even with this stumble, she arguable had the best night of her campaign and her performance made it obvious to Americans that she is the best contender for the democratic nomination. This is newsworthy because the article highlights Clinton's strengths at the debate and only scrapes upon one of her many weaknesses. This made Hillary sound very good, which could change a voter’s views on her. If Joe Biden was considering entering the race for president, he may reconsider because of Hillary Clinton’s strong performance at the debate, making winning the democratic nomination easier for her and much more difficult for Biden.

FAVORABLE/UNFAVORABLE THIS GRAPH SHOWS OUT OF THE DEMOCRATS WHO SUPPORTS HILLARY CLINTON AND WHO DOES NOT FAVOR HER IN COMPARISON TO THE OTHER CANDIDATES.

CONS Many people say that Hillary Clinton’s performance at the Democratic Debate was very successful, however she had certain issues that she tried to ignore, such as the problem with the scandal. Another candidate, Bernie Sanders, said that he “had heard enough about her ‘damn s.’“ Also, Hillary Clinton brushed off questions about her foreign policy failures, but she created some potential issues that she may have to deal with later in her campaign. People agree that Hillary Clinton is the best Democratic candidate, yet her real problem will be when she has to face the Republican candidates, who will be much harder to beat. In the latest Fox poll, Trump, Bush, Carly Fiorina, and Ben Carson all place better than Clinton. Due to the scandal and lies that she has made to try to cover up some of the mistakes she has made cause only sixty eight percent of Democrats to believe that she is trustworthy and honest, and sixty one percent of all voters say that she is not. Also, among the general public, only 33 percent gave Clinton a favorable rating, and she has roughly the same favorable and unfavorable ratings as Donald Trump.

POLITICAL CARTOON THIS SHOWS HOW HILLARY CLINTON ACTED AND IMPROVED FOR THE DEMOCRATIC DEBATE THROUGH THE IMAGE OF A NEW PHONE. SHE WAS LESS ROBOTIC, OR POISED, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND SMOOTH. BEING ABLE TO REBOOT POSITIONS INSTANTLY MEANS THAT SHE CAN SWITCH AND BE WHATEVER ROLE IS NEEDED AT THE MOMENT. SHE HAS A SECURE , THAT DOES NOT CARRY CLASSIFIED INFORMATION. AND LASTLY, SIRI WAS REPLACED WITH HER HUSBAND, BILL CLINTON FOR ADVICE.

OUR REACTION Our reaction to the pro article was that Hillary Clinton is a smart person and can put on a show when she wants to. There is no doubt that she dominated the democratic debate and it will take a big mistake on her part not to get the nomination. The only problem we had was that the article did not mention the highlights Sanders had and what Hillary Clinton’s mistakes were. Our reaction to the con article is that some things that Hillary Clinton has done make it seem like she would not be a good president. Based on this article, we are concerned that she might make some bad choices as president, however this article is biased, so some people may have a different view on her. Our reaction to the main article was that she had a good debate, but she still had some problems. There are certain things that concern us about her becoming president, such as her foreign policy problems and the scandal. She is the best of the democratic candidates, but overall, there are better choices for president.
