Showcase Agenda Purpose & Scope of MCAN Task group Committee – Who are we? Plans for 15/16 Common CEIAG issues What else can we do to support?

Purpose and Scope A forum for sharing and promoting good practice and the discussion of professional issues. Share information and resources relating to medical careers Provide networking/training events for AGCAS members Enable links between careers professionals working with undergraduates and those working with postgraduate medics Provide updates to AGCAS services about the changes in the medical profession and to contribute to AGCAS responses to consultative documents received on medical topics

Purpose and Scope Provide input into national strategy with regard to IAG support for undergraduate medical students and trainee doctors to ensure equity, quality and access. Be a point of contact for employers and regulatory bodies (e.g. Health Education England, British Medical Association, General Medical Council etc.) seeking input on careers and employability related issues for medics Promote the expertise of AGCAS as a relevant professional association to members of the medical profession, e.g. through attendance at relevant conferences
