Starts unsuccessful socialist revolutions in the Congo and Bolivia. Finally captured and executed in 1967 by Bolivian gov’t soldiers supported by the CIA. Final words: “Shoot! You are only killing a man!”

Classwork 1.Divide up the reading (A- Che is a Villain, B- Che is a hero) with your partner and answer the questions in your notebook. Share out and write down each others’ answers. 2.This will be checked off tomorrow at the beginning of class for your CW grade today.

(Provide at least THREE reasons in your answer) Was Fidel a hero or a villain? (Provide at least THREE reasons in your answer) Which person (Che or Fidel) was the better leader/man? Explain why. Include images/quotations when possible to support your explanations. You already have readings/notes on Che, but will likely have to do some internet research on Fidel. Make sure to CITE any websites you gather information from.
