30 Days To Make A Difference

What is 30 Days to Make a Difference? 30 Days to make a difference is an event for the entire student body, faculty and staff of E. T. Richardson Middle School. Thirty days when we will join together to make a difference in the lives of children living in poverty in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya.

Where is Kenya? Kenya is a third world country located on the eastern side of the continent of Africa. Like many African countries, many of its people face poverty and disease such as AIDS.

The SOWETO SLUMS The Soweto slums is an area near Nairobi, Kenya where people live in extreme poverty. The inhabitants lack food, clean water, clothing, education and shelter. Many suffer from illnesses such as AIDS.

SOWETO SLUMS

How can we help these children? Education has the power to lift children out of poverty. We can help by partnering With Transformed International and The Hope Bright Future School in the Soweto slums of Nairobi to provide children with a daily meal, school uniform and education.

Transformed International is an organization that was started by Daniel Lipparelli an American citizen from the state of Nevada. Daniel now lives in Kenya where he works through Transformed International to assist orphans and children living in extreme poverty.

Hope Bright Future School Victor and Mary started The Hope Bright Future School in Soweto. With their own resources they purchased a property where the school now Exists. Support for the the school is raised on a yearly basis through donations like ours.

Goal  Send 50 Kenyan children living in the Soweto slums to the Hope Bright Future school  Raise $5, to accomplish this goal  Involve student body & faculty in fundraising events  If each student donates $5, we could reach this goal.
