Outcome By the end of this presentation, High School Principals will have an opportunity to provide input on the CGR Process prior to training and implementation

Why is a CGR Process Needed? Strategic Goal-Annually graduate 95% of our students Review of data indicated over 350 students with unknown exit codes counted against the District’s graduation rate A survey of high schools revealed the need for a consistent process

Taskforce Members Marrius Pettiford, Senior Director, CaSS Sonya Stephens, Senior Director, Data & Accountability Drew Cook, Senior Director, High School Programs Darlene Johnson, Director of School Social Work Crystal Reardon, Director of School Counseling Roger Regan, Senior Administrator, Data & Accountability Anita Reeves, Registrar, Leesville HS Elizabeth Stevenson, AP, Knightdale Kimberly O’Hara, Data Manager, Heritage HS Lynn Moore, Dean, Holly Springs HS Mark Savage, Principal, Heritage HS (Reviewer) Anthony Muttillo, Principal, Leesville HS (Reviewer) Denise Tillery, Senior Director, Intervention Services Michelle Gordon, Coordinating, Teacher Intervention Services

Proposed CGR Process Schools designate Cohort Graduation Rate Point of Contact and Team (June) Ideally a team will be in place before the July/August Trainings Strongly consider the Principal/Designee, Dean, Data Manager, Registrar, SAP/Social Worker

Proposed CGR Process Receive and maintain CGR Notebooks based on identified requirements (June/ongoing) As part of the enrollment process, verify the initial 9th grade entry date and the expected graduation date (ongoing) Input daily number of “no shows” students into the Google Doc (1st - 20th day)

CGR Process D&A provides CGR Preview Spreadsheets to high schools in Oasis (Quarterly) Using the CGR Preview Spreadsheet, create a separate spreadsheet identifying students who have exited from the cohort, including the reason for their exit Documentation about students’ exits should be maintained in the CGR notebooks

CGR Process CGR Support Team reviews CGR notebooks at randomly selected high schools (Quarterly) D&A will provide final CGR spreadsheet for graduating cohort (May) Schools will update and submit to D&A exit codes for graduating cohort based on spreadsheets (June)
