FITNESS PLAN MIDTERM PROJECT

OBJECTIVE:  Students will apply the information of principles of training, five components of fitness, muscle names and heart rate learned during the fitness unit and muscular system unit to a practical fitness plan that they could implement now or later in life.

BENEFITS OF THIS PROJECT 1.PERSONAL – Include/find activities that you enjoy doing 2.SAVE MONEY – Instead of paying for a personal trainer now or later in life, you will learn how to create your own workout plan personalized to meet your needs 3.HEALTHY – This fitness plan follows the recommended amount of physical activity based upon your age. Are you currently meeting these recommendations?

TIME OUTLINE  2/11 (AD), 2/12 (BE), 2/16 (CF) – Go over directions and begin project  2/17 (AD), 2/18 (BE), 2/19 (CF) – Whole class period to work on project – Computers will be available  2/22 (AD), 2/23 (BE), 2/24 (CF) – Projects are due.
