Cinco De Mayo Cinco De Mayo is when the Mexican militia fought the French Army and won. The battle was called the Battle of Puebla. This holiday is primarily regional holiday celebrated in the Mexican state Puebla.

POSADAS(Christmas) POSADAS is a Mexican holiday that has to involve with Christmas. On POSDAS people take off last two weeks in December to party, to spend time with their family, visit old friends, or make new friends. POSDAS lasts for 9 days and they visit 9 houses and eat at each house. They also make a recreation of Mary on a donkey and Joseph trying to find a room at an inn.

Mexican Independence Day The Mexican independence is Septemebre 16 th (Deiciseis).

Mexico Celebrating Christmas In Mexico Christmas is celebrated is celebrated from Diecembre 12 th (Doce) to Enero 6 th (seis). On Diecembre 16 th each child perform the posada. There are nine Posadas. These celebrate the part of the Christmas story where Joseph and Mary looked for a room in an Inn. For the Posadas, the outside of houses are decorated with evergreens, moss and paper lanterns.

Mother’s day in Mexico Mexico celebrates. It seems to be special to Mexico, and is celebrated with a mass at the shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe, where an orchestra plays "las mañanitas" of the Virgin. It is a moving event, with the old-fashioned celebrations which are so much more gracious (almost religious) than modern ones. This is not the Virgin of Guadalupe as a symbol of Mexican nationalism, but the Virgin as the symbol of motherhood. Mother’s Day on May 10 th.
