IS THE FAST FOOD INDUSTRY AND/OR TECHNOLOGY TO BLAME FOR OBESITY RATES IN AMERICA AND AROUND THE WORLD?  Yes  Fast food is infamous for its high concentration of fat and sugar  The number of obese adults has doubled since 1980  The number of obese adolescents has tripled  Fast food got popular in the 1950’s-80’s

GOVERNMENT INVOLVEMENT (VIETNAM)  Not much involvement from government (ironic though for a communist country)  No problem, no involvement

SOLUTION  Vietnam doesn’t need to fix its 1.7% obesity problem, yet  America does, really bad  We aren’t state representative, but we can do something  Little things can make a difference  Boycotting  Social Media (#healthy anyone?)  It’s all about numbers  Maybe the government will catch on?
