community constructor Experience – The Academy Client: London & Quadrant Value: £4.1 million Site purchased by Durkan Estates from the Ministry of Defence in 2006 for redevelopment As a community constructor, we were keen to create a mixed-tenure development to ensure the RMA complex was available to everybody Worked with the local council to consult the community and formulate a planning proposal that met the needs of the area itself Consultation revealed the significant need for affordable housing in the area as well as increased extra-care facilities
