1 LHCb needs to space for upgrade activities and maintenance of the existing detector: detector R&D, detector module production, detector assembly, storage and large scale tests. Storage at P8 LHCb urgently needs decent storage space, preferably at P8 To protect tools and equipment which are currently degrading outside To fulfill pending requests, LS1 and long term needs To store the equipment needed for LHCb operation currently in Bldg 156 To store the DELPHI material from bldg 157, required for dismantling of the experiment. Estimate: 400 m 2, heated, cherry picker access, and crane. Assembly area for the LHCb upgrade, 900m 2. The building 156 shall be used for the assembly of sub-detectors for the upgrade and large scale tests for the upgrade installation. At present, the space is taken for storage of spare detector parts, handling and access equipment, and occasionally lent to the RD62 and Aegis experiments for their assembly. Lab in Meyrin site LHCb needs 2 small labs in Bldg 13/14 for upgrade R&D activities on new Sub-detectors. This has been already discussed and shall be in the pipeline.

5 Visitor area welcomed 15% of the visitors at CERN in 2011 The visitor area is shared with access/transport/recreational area. Major developments foreseen by the end of The full VELO spare detector will be displayed. It will be the only place were Visitors will see a full LHC detector. Special display zone will be prepared by LHCb. 3D movie cinema room will be installed. The room will isolated from the noisy environment. Short term LS1: The visitor flow is likely to be limited by the lack of space available Long term >LS1: Control room will be freed (new building) to enlarge the visitor area
