2016 Operational Overview EST Committee volunteers More than 250 Coach & Manager volunteers We still need more HELP ….none are paid roles

2016 Operational Overview WHAT NEXT? Reviewing the current GUFC Operating Model Advertise on our website the tasks/actions we need help You don’t need to be on the Committee, just a GUFC “helper” EST GIANTS LAND OF THE

Current Concerns #1 GBO Ground Control Duty C&Ms are advised via SMS, C&M bulletin & website Some teams not doing their bit, espec Sunday set up & pack up ie. no show, late or insufficient numbers, slow or incomplete job “Other” volunteers coming to the rescue ensuring 1st game starts on time &/or pack up is complete & facility locked up Way Forward  teams that don’t meet their obligations get immediately re-rostered on GC duty  If problems 2 nd time around, further consequences will need to be discussed with the team & the SSFA notified. EST GIANTS LAND OF THE

Current Concerns #2 K2 Compliance SSFA are now enforcing (Council) rules – 2 x Ground Control vests, no spectators inside field, remove all rubbish – or $100 fine Critical for GUFC to keep K2 otherwise … The Ridge? Council drafting plans to improve K2 for spectators Way Forward  any team that defaults, resulting in an SSFA fine, will be moved to Waratah for the rest of the season EST. 1960

Current Concerns Wet Weather Plan B “Plan B – Synthetic (K2/3)” Those teams that have been drawn from a hat by the SSFA from Rd 18 games are advised by & website prior to the weekend by GUFC Comp Sec (Nicole Sarich) “Plan B – Natural” If Clubs declare their field playable, the SSFA schedules more games to those playable grounds GUFC Comp Sec will advise via txt (approx 7.15 – 7.45am)  C&M Action - alert your team when they are scheduled for “Plan B - K2/3” - be ready for an early morning SMS for “Plan B – Natural” & able to quickly advise yr team EST. 1960

Current Concerns Match Sheet Coach, Manager & Ground Control names on match sheet Sign off match sheet Player shirt numbers on match sheet  Must fill in correctly or $5 fine for every infringement EST GIANTS LAND OF THE

Compliance Coaches on My Football Club (MFC) FFA/FNSW requirement Online registration or complete the form provided Working with Children Checks (WWC) a parent or close relative who coaches or manages a team that includes their child does NOT need a WWCC. Parents who volunteer at the canteen or sausage sizzle, help with setting up events, do NOT need a WWCC Forms distributed to all C&Ms must be returned to GUFC EST. 1960

2016 Members Survey Online survey that helps the Committee understand current & future needs of the Club Shapes the GUFC Strategic Plan, 3 year outlook Will be sent directly to all Players & C&Ms mid season We need good participation (200+ responses) otherwise risky to act on limited feedback GIANTS LAND OF THE EST. 1960

Stratplan Ongoing K2 access – compliance GBO Turf Management - best natural field GBO Facilities – new goalposts, men’s changeroom upgrade Website – best functionality including mobile platforms Football Principles – retain/build coaching & playing talent Financial management & reporting – transparency, governance EST. 1960

WHAT’S ELSE IS ON YOUR MIND? GIANTS LAND OF THE EST. 1960
