What to pack:

Pocket Money The children will be allowed to bring no more than 30 Euros (in small denominations, if possible) for pocket money. The pocket money will not be collected in advance. Instead each child will be responsible for his/her own pocket money for the duration of the trip. Staff members are unable to take responsibility for pocket money. Electrical equipment and cameras Cameras should be clearly labelled with your child’s name and school and remain the responsibility of your child at all times. We do advise the children to leave any valuable cameras at home. Please note that the children must not take any electronic games, mobile phones, computers, iPads, iPods, mp3 players or similar.

Medicines All medicines will need to be given to Mrs Howarth and Mr Trusson on Monday morning. All medicines need to be sealed and clearly labelled. If you would like to drop the medicines off before half term, then please bring them in to Mrs Howarth in the office. If you know that your child suffers from travel sickness, please give them a tablet at the appropriate time before leaving. Please also send in a sufficient supply for other journeys during their week away – the children will be travelling by coach every day.

What happens on the Monday before we leave? Children will need to arrive at school by7.45am on Monday morning. They should bring a packed lunch (in fully disposable container). Please do not allow them bring any fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate for the journey, but bring plenty of water. This should be packed in a small rucksack / day sack to carry onto the coach and be used each day. Meeting group leader Children will then go to area of the hall allocated to their day group. They will then wait with their bags and group leader before departing. Children will find out day groups and room allocations in the week before the trip.

Insurance and EHIC Cards All Passports & European Health Insurance Cards must be in school before the trip and will be held securely throughout our stay.

Emergency Contacts In the event of an emergency please telephone the school office on between 8.30am and 4.30pm, and they will contact a member of staff in France by mobile phone. Our out-of-office-hours emergency contact will be Rondo Travel or who will be able to contact a member of staff.
