Colossians 3: Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

W E ARE GOD ’ S CHOSEN PEOPLE ! H OW CAN IT BE ? Ephesians 1:3-5 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 He predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will

W E ARE HOLY ! H OW CAN IT BE ? Colossians 1:22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation.

W E ARE DEARLY LOVED ! H OW CAN IT BE ? John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him, shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

W E ARE DEARLY LOVED ! H OW CAN IT BE ? Colossians 1: For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

W E ARE DEARLY LOVED ! H OW CAN IT BE ? Yes, it was, because the guilt of the world was finite, but the life of the Son of God was of infinite worth. Was the punishment and death of one life sufficient to remove the guilt of the whole world?

S O WHAT NEXT ? We put on the “colours of Christ”!
