 380,000 people in Minnesota are hungry or at risk of becoming hungry.  In 2007, 1.8 million people visited food shelves in Minnesota.  69% of eligible food stamps are used each year.  Over 10% senior citizens live in poverty.

 From 2008 to 2012, visits to food shelves increased by 62% statewide according to Hunger Solutions. In the nine-country Twin Cities metropolitan area, the jump to 97% was an even bigger.

 In 2007, 16% of families with children experienced food shortages.  Hunger can affect a child’s ability to do well in school.  In 2008, 3 million deaths occurred due to child hunger..

 Due to the fact that our school website is licensed. We did not have to seek additional licensing.
