I N J OHN 20:31, HE GIVES US TWO REASONS FOR WRITING HIS G OSPEL : But these are written… (‘Part A’) …that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, (‘Part B’) …and that by believing you may have life in his name.
