From: The Clinical Value of the Multiple-Frequency 80-Hz Auditory Steady-State Response in Adults With Normal Hearing and Hearing Loss Arch Otolaryngol Head Neck Surg. 2009;135(5): doi: /archoto The effect of degree. Distribution of occurrence (in percentage) of absolute auditory steady-state response (ASSR) thresholds were determined for normal hearing (NH), mild sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL), and moderate SNHL. Calculations were made for pooled (A) and 0.5-kHz (B), 1.0-kHz (C), 2.0-kHz (D), and 4.0-kHz (E) carrier frequencies. HL indicates hearing level. Figure Legend:

From: The Clinical Value of the Multiple-Frequency 80-Hz Auditory Steady-State Response in Adults With Normal Hearing and Hearing Loss Arch Otolaryngol Head Neck Surg. 2009;135(5): doi: /archoto Threshold determination using the multiple-frequency 80-Hz auditory steady-state response (ASSR) technique. A, The effect of type of hearing loss was demonstrated for a patient with conductive hearing loss tested at 2 occasions (occasion 1, permanent low- frequency hearing loss; occasion 2, temporary deterioration). The audiograms display air-conduction ASSR, air-conduction behavioral, and bone-conduction behavioral thresholds. B, The effect of configuration was examined for ears with sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL). The audiograms present mean air-conduction ASSR and behavioral thresholds for flat (n = 23 ears) and sloping (n = 11 ears) audiometric configurations. The error bars represent 1 SD (above and below the mean). HL indicates hearing level. Figure Legend:

Underestimations of behavioral thresholds are represented by the negative numbers. Figure Legend:
