DEFINITION OF VERB: A Verb is a word that denotes being or having or doing or an action in any form. such as: 1. Being verb - The man is honest. 2. Having verb- I have a sharp knife. 3.Doing verb – The boy kicks the ball. 4.An action in any form- The moon looks bright.

Mainly there are two kinds of verb. Such as- 1.Finite Verb 2.Non-Finite Verb 1.Finite Verb : The verb which completes the speech of a sentence is called Finite Verb. Such as – Ovi reads a book. 2.Non- Finite Verb : The verb which does not complete the speech of a sentence is called Non-Finite Verb. Such as- Binoy wants to go to school.

Definition of Principal verb and Auxiliary verb 1.Principal verb : When a verb expresses its meaning without the help of any other verb, it is called a principal verb. Such as : Karim is a boy, I have a book. The boy eats a mango. 2. Auxiliary verb : The verb which helps a principal verb in expressing its meaning in accordance with tense, voice or mood, is called an Auxiliary verb. Such as : The boy is reading a book. I have lost my pen.
