Rainforests usually have warm, wet, sunny climates. Millions of plants and animals are found in the rainforest. Rainforests have layers of plant-life, called strata. Rainforest plant and animal life relies on each other for survival. Information about the Rainforests Home Previous

The class will be split up into four different groups. The groups will be: 1. Forest Floor 2. Understory 3. Canopy 4. Emergent Layer Each group will research their layer of the rainforest. Each person in the group will be researching an animal found in their layer of the rainforest. Each person in the group will be making a poster about their animal when they are finished researching. Activity #1 After the teach places you in your group and you are assigned a layer of the rainforest, you will research your layer and answer the questions on your Strata Worksheet. Each group should begin their presentations by providing information about their layer of the rainforest. Use the information you wrote on the Strata Worksheet to help your group present your layer to the class. Next, each group member will present their poster on the animal they were assigned that lives in their layer of the rainforest, providing information about the animal.
