Remember the GREAT DEPRESSION.

I tried to get America out of the Great Depression by helping businesses and giving them money, but it didn’t work. Another agency created was......

As the new President, I have a plan to help the people of the United States get back to solid financial standing.

What were the main features of the New Deal? Social Security Federal Work Programs created jobs to build parks, schools, courthouse, bridges, dams, and other public work projects Environmental improvement programs planting trees, etc... Farm assistance programs Increased rights for labor

There were several agencies that helped create jobs as a result of the NEW DEAL. ivilian onservation orps The CCC put young American men back to work. They completed projects such as soil conservation, planting trees, and flood control.

Another agency created was orks rogress dministration The WPA was an enormous program that put unemployed people to work building highways, bridges, public buildings, public parks, and airports. The WPA also paid artists to paint murals and create the sculptures that decorated public buildings across the nation.

Another agency created was ennessee alley uthority The TVA transformed the Tennessee River Valley from poverty to productivity. For years, flooding had caused massive problems and made farming difficult. The TVA built dams throughout a seven-state region to control floods and generate electricity to homes and farms. Residents were thrilled to have electricity, and it attracted industry to this very poor area.

Why do you think Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal was more successful that Hoover’s plan?
