Open Access publishing 과 OA funding 에 대한 이해  방법 We contacted 22,000 authors and we received 1858 responses, giving us a confidence level* of 99% We plan to repeat the journal author survey annually in order to track and benchmark author opinions; this will enable us to improve services based on our understanding of journal authors’ needs, concerns and priorities

Executive Summary: Objective: Understand authors’ perception of CUP as a journals publisher in order to drive our strategy to attract and retain the best authors 96% of journal authors would recommend us – compared to 92% of book authors (2014 book author survey) 91% of journal authors very satisfied or satisfied with CUP’s publishing process Top three reasons why authors chose to publish with a CUP journal: 1) Reputation of journal 2) Audience and readership of journal 3) Aim and scope of journal Objective: Understand authors’ experience of the publishing process at CUP and how it might be improved to increase author satisfaction 92% of journal authors told us we compared about the same, quite well or very well to their experiences with other publishers Journal authors publish frequently – almost half (48%) told us they had contributed to 5 or more journal articles in the past 5 years Of these respondents, the most active demographic were STM authors - 64% had published 5 or more articles over the past 5 years
