What we do Design and development of DSP based embedded digital controller for an actuator literature survey of (a)DSP processor applicable to motion control (b)types of actuators (c)types of transducers (d)different control techniques employed for precise and robust control of actuator

ACTUATOR Closed loop servo actuation system Includes DC motor as prime mover,tacho generator and LVDT as feedback transducer And also includes selection of gears, ballscrew and BLDC motor which satisfy desired specifications An actuator is a type of motor for moving or controlling a mechanism or system

ACTUATOR A = Chrome Plated Output Rod B = Pre-Loaded Angular Contact Bearing C = Inverted Roller Screw Mechanism D = Epoxy Coated Aluminium Housing E = Neodium Iron Boron Magnets F = Connectors G = Encoder or Resolver Feedback H = AC Brushless Servo Motor (segmented design +35% power) I = Sealed Output Rod

Actuator This project includes development of mathematical model for electromechanical actuator Here electro mechanical actuator is used to change the direction of an aero space vehicle so that it travel in predefined path

Project includes development of control algorithm Development of signal conditioning algorithm Code will be developed using C language control algorithm should be robustly designed to include position, velocity and acceralation control of actuator Modeling of actuator with transducer to stimulate using MATLAB and study performance

Project also involves Survey of brushless DC motor, different configurations of BLDC motor control, power semiconductor strategy of BLDC motor, advance in BLDC technology Design and development of power inverter for driving 3 phase BLDC motor. It includes selection of power MOSFET,design of switching circuit and snabber circuit for MOSFET Hardware relation of power inverter and interfacing to BLDC motor

BLDC motor is applied to many configurations of AC synchronous motors

In which semiconductor control stator currents such that maximum torque is obtained at given speed Solid state switching by transistors or tyristors triggered by position sensors is employed Each phase stator winding is energized sequentially by power MOSFET by signal form position sensor placed on rotor

POWER MOSFET Device used as a fast acting switch at power level It is voltage control device High switching speed causes low switching losses and stabber requirement is minimal These are used in high frequency switching applications between ratings of few watts to few kilowatts
