CLUBS DECA is the organization for Marketing students. In DECA, students have the opportunity to attend, or compete in, DECA conferences. Students develop business skills, explore careers, and meet other students and business people. DECA is a great club to list on a college transcript or job application and DECA offers many scholarships. TSA - is an organization for Technology Engineering students. In DECA, students have the opportunity to compete in TSA conferences. Students develop leadership, research, and technology engineering skills. FBLA – Future Business Leaders of America. FBLA is a business club that allows students the opportunity to travel, compete, and gain invaluable career knowledge and skills.

BENEFITS OF THE BUSINESS ACADEMY Success in high school –90% of TN high school students take CTE courses. –Students who concentrate in CTE courses graduate at higher rates than those that don’t. College preparation/college success –CTE students are more likely to feel prepared for the social and academic challenges of college. –Students who concentrate in CTE courses have twice the graduate rate at community colleges.

BENEFITS OF THE BUSINESS ACADEMY College credit –Students who take some CTE courses can test out of similar classes at Chattanooga State and other community colleges. Substitute for other classes –Marketing II and Entrepreneurship both substitute for Economics.
